One word to describe my graduate experience at SDSMT… Growth. Earning my Ph.D. in Materials Engineering and Science at SDSMT was a journey that challenged me both professionally and personally. I had the opportunity to work on thin film deposition, cold spray additive manufacturing, and alloy development, contributing to federally funded projects. Every challenge helped me learn, adapt, and grow. But what truly made my time at SDSMT special was the sense of community. Moving to a new place is never easy, but the friendships, mentorship, and collaboration I found here made it feel like home. That support and shared passion for innovation continue to shape my career in materials science.
