Our master of science degree in chemical engineering is ranked #2 in the nation by Masters Program Guide who bases their rankings on four major factors: earnings potential, affordability, student satisfaction, and selectivity.
Students can choose from either a thesis option, or an non-thesis, executive option for their MS degree. The 30 credit-hour thesis option requires 24 credits of coursework and 6 thesis credits which result in the presentation of an original investigation. The 32 credit non-thesis executive program includes up to 30 credit hours of coursework and at least 2 credit hours of an applied project. In the executive program, which is oriented toward industrial needs, students take at least one course in technology management as part of their required courses for the MS in chemical engineering. For more information on the MS degree, please see the catalog links page.
An Accelerated Masters Program is available, enabling a student to complete both a B.S. and M.S. degree in as little
as five years.
