Office of Industry Engagement
The Office of Industry Engagement (OIE) is the hub for connections between companies
and South Dakota Mines. Our team will facilitate access to resources by connecting
the needs and opportunities of industry with the needs and opportunities of the university.
Whether that be recruiting on campus, hosting industry representatives, sponsoring
research or student projects, developing curriculum for industry skill gaps, the OIE
will ensure that partnerships are fostered for the benefit of all.

Educate

Developing in house training can be challenging for a company because of the time
required and expertise needed. The faculty at South Dakota Mines are experts in their
respective fields and can design a short course, training
module, or workshop to fit your training and continuing education needs. Training
can be provided synchronously online and can range from a one-day workshop to a year-long
program.
At South Dakota Mines, innovative students invent, design, create, and compete. Their contributions make processes sustainable and technology smarter. Together with researchers, faculty, and industry partners, South Dakota Mines creates the future through active participation in interdisciplinary competition teams and intellectually diverse organizations.
