South Dakota Mines Names Students to Fall 2024 Academic Recognition and Dean’s Lists
South Dakota Mines students Caleb Franklin and Abbigail Moon, biomedical engineering majors, are among the 763 recognized for academic excellence during the Fall 2024 semester.

South Dakota Mines has honored 763 students in the fall 2024 semester for academic excellence. The university named 714 students to the Fall 2024 Dean’s List, and 49 students to the Fall 2024 Academic Recognition List. The Dean’s List recognition is for full-time students while the Academic Recognition List is for part-time students.

“The remarkable number of students excelling academically this semester underscores their dedication to mastering the curriculum, the exceptional instruction provided by our faculty, and the impact of our tutoring and student success programs at South Dakota Mines,” says Dr. Joseph Dlugos, Dean of Students.

To merit a spot on the Dean’s List, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for the semester. Full-time students must have earned a minimum of 12 credit hours for the term. To earn a place on the Academic Recognition List, part-time students must have earned between three and 11 credit hours that term in addition to a 3.5 GPA.
