South Dakota Mines Hosts 69th Annual High Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair

South Dakota Mines will host its 69th annual High Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair in the King Center on campus from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.
The fair includes 6-12th grade students from schools across the region. This year, there are 330 registered projects from a total of 397 students representing 12 schools.
The South Dakota Discovery Center will provide a solar system presentation for the student entrants from 8:45-9:45 a.m. Science fair projects are open to the public from 1:30-2:30 p.m., and the awards ceremony begins at 3 p.m. The media are welcome to attend during these time periods.
The high school division winner goes on to compete in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair with an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles, Cali. for the student and chaperone May 11-17.
