South Dakota Mines Annual Holiday Parade of Trees Open to the Public
The Parade of Trees is sponsored by the Office of Student Engagement at Mines, which is asking the public to donate to their favorite charity at the event.  Each tree in the parade has a unique theme based on the charity it represents.

Community members are invited to vote on their favorite trees at the annual holiday Parade of Trees from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 1-3, in the Surbeck Center at South Dakota Mines. This year, the annual Parade of Trees event is also a fundraiser for local charities.

The Parade of Trees is sponsored by the Office of Student Engagement at Mines, which is asking the public to donate to their favorite charity at the event.  Each tree in the parade has a unique theme based on the charity it represents.  A list of charities represented and the items they need can be found at this link. Members of the public who attend the event are encouraged to bring an item to donate to each charity represented. The donated items can be placed under the tree for the charity of choice.

This event typically draws between 15 to 30 campus organizations, each striving to have the best tree. The public vote will distinguish which team wins the “People's Choice Award.” The winners of each category will be announced on Friday after the voting has closed.
