Brief Bio

As the Director of Industry, Government, and Community Engagement, Ann facilitates strategic partnerships between industry and the university to address business challenges while providing students and faculty with valuable real-world experiences that promote workforce development. She acts as a liaison, bridging the university and the community through educational outreach, economic development initiatives, and fostering relationships with Ellsworth Air Force Base and the defense community of Rapid City. Additionally, she collaborates with local, state, and federal government officials to enhance the visibility of the research and innovation efforts at Mines. Prior to her current role, Ann served as the Director of Marketing & Communications at SDM for eight years. She holds a bachelor's degree in mass communications from the University of South Dakota and a Master's in Management from National American University.
