Held once each semester, fall and spring, the South Dakota Mines Career Fair connects over 1,000 students with employers nationwide (about a fourth from South Dakota, the rest from across the United States). Many employers recruit on our campus every year, but each Career Fair sees new participants looking to recruit South Dakota Mines job seeking students. Many employers also conduct next-day interviews with our students.

Handshake
Handshake is the fast and powerful recruiting platform for South Dakota Mines students
and alumni. It uses cutting edge technology to connect employers with qualified candidates.
Students and alumni can build profiles highlighting their academic accomplishments,
skills and extracurricular activities, then make those profiles visible to companies
on Handshake to market themselves to potential employers.
Employers may use Handshake to post jobs, internships, and co-op listings, register for career fairs, manage on-campus recruiting, advertise events, and message students, and alumni who meet your qualifications. Employers will also be able to promote their brand more effectively by customizing your employer profile, job postings, and events to be more visually appealing to students.
