Public Safety Department

 

securityPublic Safety is responsible for protecting the South Dakota Mines Campus community and the general-public visiting campus. The safety officers provide 24-7 support to campus year-round.

Currently, Chief Doug Parrow and Police Officers Rick Bartlett and Aaron Miller are the State Certified Law Enforcement Officers on campus. The Public Safety department also employs one non-sworn senior safety/parking officer, and non-sworn student officers.

  • Lock your vehicle & keep windows up
  • Don't leave vehicle running with keys in it
  • Don't leave valuable items in your vehicle
  • Report any suspicious activity
