For a decade, we've proudly showcased our talent at the Giant Vision business plan competition, consistently demonstrating a remarkable winning success rate. Over the past 15 years, our startups have secured eight first-place victories in the open division, while our students have claimed nine first-place victories in the student division, solidifying our commitment to cultivating the next generation of innovators. 

The Giant Vision competition has provided pre-seed prize funding to South Dakota Mines entrepreneurs and startups, fueling the growth of groundbreaking ventures. This financial support, combined with our robust mentorship and resources, empowers our community to transform ideas into thriving businesses. South Dakota Mines Secures Record Funding After Sweeping Giant Vision Business Plan Competition

South Dakota Mines faculty and students scored a groundbreaking win at the recent Governor’s Giant Vision Business Plan Competition, sweeping first and second place in the open division and fourth place in the student category — earning a record-breaking $32,000 in funding for the university’s entrepreneurs and startups.
