Student Accounts/Cashiering Services is the depository office for all university funds and handles all tuition and fee related payments.

Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Summer Hours 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.).

Payment Due Dates

All payments are due before or on the dates listed above. The account must be PAID IN FULL by the due date. This includes all classes and charges added up to the add/drop date. All outstanding balances are subject to late fees.

Account Balances and Holds

If you have a balance on your account after the payment due date your account may have a hold placed on your account that may prevent you from registering for classes. For the hold to be removed, please view and pay your account balance in full in Banner Student self-service on SDePay.

Pay your bill:

    • SDePay -  Student login through your student portal.
      • E-Check (no fee)
      • Credit card (fee) 
      • Flywire - select from drop down menu on SDePay for international payments 
        • *FlyWire payments require additional processing time.
        • Payments should be made at least 3-5 days prior to deadline to avoid late fees.
      • Sign up for a Payment Plan

Authorized Payer Login/SDePay - Parent login 

  • Student must set up an authorized payer in Self-Service Banner before a parent/authorized user can view and make payments.

FERPA Privacy Act 

South Dakota Mines complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which states that schools must have a student's consent prior to the disclosure of education records. No student account information can be released to anyone other than the student, without the student's prior authorization. Find more information on FERPA.
